About Us

Health of their child is a primary concern for every parent. Children are an
asset to the family and to the world. We want all the children be healthy.
Educating parents, grandparents and caregivers about the health issues of
children is necessary to achieve the goal. This site is primarily designed to
address different health issues and also to give special emphasis in keeping kids
healthy. We want to keep this site straight forward and provide practical tips. We
would like to use simple language avoiding too much of medical jargon. However
the are situations we have no option other than using medical terms to convey
the right meaning and information. This site is reviewed by a board certified
pediatrician practicing in United States. The pediatrician has been practicing for
many years loves to work with the kids and parents. The driving force to start this
site is his keen interest in patient and parent education.

Unique features of the site are

  • Facilitate awareness of unknown existent problems
  • Directing towards the condition from the symptom level. Ex: Somebody has
long term coughing problem which can be due one of many diseases. Our
site lists the conditions (diseases) to think about. Most health sites list
diseases and provide info about those. It does not help if the diagnosis is
    not made yet.
  • Pediatrician driven site. Material reviewed by board certified practicing full
    time pediatrician.
  • Parent education materials regarding common diseases in children
  • Know Tricks or Tips which help in taking care of children
  • Emphasis in keeping kids healthy. An ounce of prevention is worth more
    than a pound of cure.
  • Promote positive healthcare and reduce suffering
  • Ideas to reduce pain

This site is designed to provide immediate answers to some of the common
questions a parent may have. It is 2 AM my child has some congestion and mild
fever what can I do? My 12 year old cannot swallow pills, how do I encourage her
to take the pills? Often a parent is in a situation like these and would like
answers. This might be the place to get those answers.

We are providing the information to educate the parents so that they can
make wiser decisions for their child. One of the intentions of the site is to educate
parents and caregivers in differentiating normal from abnormal and also to know
when to seek health care. Our intention is to facilitate your relationship with your
doctor leading to better care and better results. We would like your doctor visits
be more worthwhile. When you are not clear about something it is would be better
to discuss with your doctor or see your physician. Also sometimes knowing more
about a particular condition can worry some of the parents. This could potentially
lead to excessive health care. Hence we recommend taking prudent decisions in
seeking health care.

Healthy eating habits, exercise, regular well child checkups, safe environment
and immunizations helps to keep kids hail and healthy. Use the link at the bottom
if you have any questions. Pediatrician will try to answer questions under "Ask the
Dr" section or by email. Please don’t include child’s name but age and sex of the
child would be helpful in giving the answer. We appreciate your feedback so that
we can try to make the website better and user friendly. If any intended link
doesn't work please let us know so that we can take care of it.
